Moroccan fruit and vegetable growing regions

Morocco stretches from the Mediterranean to the edge of the Sahara. Each region has its own climate, its own crops and its own window in the season, and we collect from all of them.

Six regions, one collection network

We load at six points across Morocco: Agadir (Souss-Massa, the largest producing region), Marrakech (Haouz), Casablanca, Kénitra (Gharb), Larache (Loukkos) and Berkane (Oriental). Trucks collect along the way and cross the Strait at Tanger Med, or at Nador for produce from the north-east.

Two roads to Europe

Agadir → Marrakech → Casablanca → Kénitra → Larache → Tanger Med → Algeciras · Berkane → Nador → Almería / Motril

Why Morocco in winter

Sun

Over 300 days of sunshine a year in the Souss: winter crops ripen in the open air and in passive greenhouses.

Proximity

The Strait of Gibraltar is just 14 km wide. Southern Spain is a short ferry crossing from Tanger Med, and Almería and Motril are a few hours from Nador.

Counter-season

Morocco ships most of its volume from October to May, exactly when European fields are resting.
